Morphio-Videokonverter
MOV, HEVC, AVI, MKV und mehr in MP4, mit Live-Fortschrittsbalken. Läuft in deinem Browser.
What is actually wrong with the file
Two separate things decide whether a video plays: the container (.mov, .mp4, .mkv) and the codec inside it (H.264, HEVC, AV1). iPhones default to a .mov container with HEVC video and AAC audio. Apple devices handle that natively; much of the rest of the world does not.
Converting to MP4 with H.264 fixes both halves at once. H.264 is the most widely supported video codec in existence — every browser, phone, TV, console and NLE decodes it.
Step by step
- Transfer the clip to your computer. Prefer AirDrop or a cable over messaging apps, which re-compress.
- Open the Morphio video converter.
- Drag the .mov file onto the drop zone.
- Choose MP4 as the target format.
- Start the conversion and watch the progress bar and estimated time.
- Download the MP4 when it finishes.
Keeping the quality you started with
Always convert from the original file. A clip that has been through WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram has already been re-compressed once, and converting a re-compressed file stacks artefacts.
If the output looks soft, raise the quality setting rather than the resolution — upscaling adds nothing. If the file is too large for an upload limit, run it through the video compressor afterwards instead of dropping quality twice during conversion.
Just want the audio?
Interviews, lectures and voice notes recorded as video are usually needed as audio only. The audio extractor pulls the AAC track out of a MOV or MP4 and gives you an MP3 or M4A without touching the video stream — much faster than a full conversion, and it also runs entirely in the browser.
FAQ
Ein 5-minütiger Clip dauert also einige Minuten.
